[attr="class","athread"]Mages were uncreative, she’d decided. Every single wand-wielder she’d met had Freeze-Dry in their repertoire, an especially annoying move for a draconic warrior. If they were all going to have super-effective attacks against her, then she would ensure that she could return the favour.

It was that train of thought that had brought her to the kingdom of ghouls and ghosts. Deep in the forest, she had no doubt that something was waiting to end her life. Whether it was a player or Pokemon, she was prepared – but she’d much rather the latter.

The forest gave way to a clearing, but in the Glumwood’s eternal shroud, that word held a different meaning. The trees gave way, but the field was foggy, the moon’s rays occasionally providing a dim light. Piercing red eyes occasionally appeared from the trees; whether they were part of the scenery or actual Pokemon, she had no idea.

[attr="class","spiral"] Fernando doesn't have the same line of thought. His priorities move from raw experience toward acquiring a vast array of materials. Once he gets a better handle for the crafting portion of the game, he can decide how to handle his materials. For now, harvesting them in bulk seem to be a good idea and it's up to him to fill his guild's war chest.

Which is why he continues to roam the more mob dense portions of the PVP map. With his pistol drawn, he keeps it at the ready, trigger happy enough to fire on the first thing in his sights.

Player killing had its perks, but she had a different goal in the kingdom. “Hey, Ai-Ai! You looking for some materials to-“ She leapt out of the way of a psychic beam – one that would have left her spending a half-minute cursing at the chat. “One sec.”

Some of the red eyes had revealed themselves as a pair of Gastly. She turned and set her sights on one, rushing forward to cleave it one with a Breaking Swipe. The spawn went down surprisingly easy, but not for free – the Cursed Body debuff announced itself with a dark aura around her, robbing her of the move. “…Oh, good."

Fernando maintains his character and answers her with a drudging cheer. He gives her a small salute with his index and middle finger before they're interrupted by some system generated Pokemon.

"Aye."

He does a sweeping motion and lines the perfect shot against the other Gastly that's revealed itself. He fires a ZAP CANNON on instinct and the attack vaporizes the basic level mob. The CURSED BODY takes effect as well and they're both without they're primary attacks.

"Fuck."

Wait. Yamask.

She’d fought Yamask twice before in the real world, and that was enough to teach her a lesson. “Doubt you had it in mind, but try not to touch them.” She hovered her sword in front of her chest and jabbed her – or more specifically her armour – with its hilt. The banging of plate against plate was the closest most warriors would could to Clanging Scales. Her equipment might not have been the best for the job, but the game made up for that with an attack that could come close to a mage’s power, and take out her target in one move. As payment, her Defense took a drop, but it was a worthy price to pay.

Fernando sneers at the opponent with a smug look of satisfaction. There's no such thing as physical combat against a Ranger! His ZAP CANNON may have been taken away but his CHATTER remains available. He lands a single shot and the CONFUSION sets in immediately. A few AIR SLASHES later and Fernando's mob is dead as well.

[attr="class","athread"]“Hey, I was just making sure! I’ve started to branch out into ranged, so maybe you were diversifying too. Need something to deal with every mage under the sun having Freeze-Dry… And some of the brawlers too, apparently.” Her words devolved into grumbled as the Dusclops appeared. An ability like Pressure was hard to replicated in virtual reality, but boy, did the game try. The light sensation of being pushed on all sides announced the ghosts’ presence before Annie saw them, standing there… Menacingly. Not that it would stop her, of course.

One raised his hand to charge an attack, but Annie wouldn’t give him the chance. A body-check by way of Accelerock cancelled the Will-O-Wisp before it could fully form, and from there it was a done deal. Each auto-attack from the warrior cancelled the Dusclops' animation before he could finish casting a spell, taking a chunk of his health bar for the attempt, until there was nothing left for her to steal.

Fernando surprisingly proud about that. Better to let that mindset settle in now and spread as a character trait. Anything to bait the others into a false sense of security. Never know when he might need it and he plans it now to get into the habit of playing to the character.

PRESSURE has less effect the farther the target and Fernando barely feels his hand quake as he tries to line another shot. The CURSE BODY wears off and he fires a ZAP CANNON to initiate combat. A CHATTER later and the mob falls too.

"Aye. Meet me in the Pugilis Arena if you swear by it and maybe I'll teach you a thing or two."
